August Star (Simon Provan) is a Broadway actor who is seeking direction. Not on stage, but in life.  Much to the disappointment of his manager Rhonda (Dale Waddington) August abruptly leaves his hectic life and returns to his childhood home on Owl's Point. In this waterfront own, August is with embracing his past, coming to terms with his present, and setting a course for his future. His father Keeper (David Ruprecht) is remembering less and less with each passing day. With the help of Mandy (Heather Ricks) and The Author (Bruce Marchiano), August discovers the true light and is able to start a new chapter in the book of life.
